Ingalls’ investments in expansion and modernization of its facilities and equipment have exceeded $200 million in recent years. These investments have included the purchase of one of the world’s largest cranes; the covering of more than 400,000 sq. ft. Of previously open assembly areas; state-of-the-art advanced technologies and facilities for modular construction; track mounted robotic welding systems; advanced structural cad system integrated with robotic fabrication systems; a floating drydock; and approximately 1,432 meters of berthing space serviced by portal cranes up to 300-tons.
