Overview:
Our service dates back to 1847, when EPD built steam pumps to power Navy vessels. In the early 1950s, teams from EMD and Target Rock helped design and build systems for the Nautilus, the world’s first nuclear powered submarine, and engineers at Peerless were responsible for that submarine’s first instrumentation and control microprocessor equipment.
Today we are the leading supplier of mission-critical applications for Nimitz Class aircraft carriers and Virginia Class submarines, as well as next generation CVN-21 Class carriers.
Our next generation products include the development of an electro-magnetic aircraft launch system and advanced aircraft carrier arresting technology which enable more efficient control systems to both launch and capture aircraft on the deck of a carrier. And we continue to support the entire naval fleet with leading edge pumping, propulsion, valve and control systems and solutions. |
