Dresser-Rand equipment is used on hundreds of U.S. Navy ships to provide propulsion power, generator drives, steam turbine pump drives, ship service air, feed air compression for O2N2, and deballasting. Dresser-Rand is supplying the main propulsion and auxiliary steam engines for the Navy’s nuclear-powered CVN[X] aircraft carriers. Both low-pressure and high-pressure ship service air compressors are provided for the Navy’s use on submarines, aircraft carriers, and amphibious ships such as the new LPD class.
