History:
Established in 1992 as a Mechanical Systems Integrator IMECO is dedicated to the advancement of marine technology and productivity for the shipyards and ship owners in the United States. Technology solutions provided include DDG 1000 Steering Gear Actuation System, HVAC, Cargo Hold Refrigeration, Machinery Room Ventilation, Underway Replenishment (UNREP), Propulsion, Automation, Water Mist Fire Suppression, and Material Handling Systems.  IMECO delivers turnkey solutions (design, material procurement, installation and testing) that enhance the cost competitiveness of shipyards.

As an ISO 9001-2000 approved company, it is our policy “to support the continued success of our customers.” This is achieved through providing innovative cost effective solutions that are compliant with the requirements, being responsive and sensitive to customer needs, and providing high quality products on time. IMECO has provided technology solutions for ships and cutters of the US Navy and Coast Guard on the T-AKE, LCS, LMSR, GLIB and various other ship programs. In addition, IMECO has provided commercial systems for NASSCO, NGSS Avondale, NGSS Ingalls, NGSS Newport News and most second tier shipyards in the United States.
